The Full Story

On this site you will see the three elements of my practice:

As a consultant, my practice is “working for the future of the active engagement of people with creative action, the arts, heritage and museums”.

I work in organizational development, creative facilitation, curatorial and collection projects, program and interpretive planning, writing reviews and exhibition catalogues, and advising on art acquisition and placement.

I have taken great pleasure in my work in teaching several courses for museum and arts organizations on governance, programming, policy, andas an evaluator of museums in Alberrta and Nova Scotia

Art Making: Mixed Media, Painting, Fibre

As an artist I am fascinated both by the subjects (physical, intellectual, emotional) and by the tactile experience of working with materials. As a result I find myself with two art practices: one working with paint, or pastels and collage on paper and on canvas; and the other, exploring fibre as a rug hooker and feltmaker

Feltlines is the name attached to the felt works but it also can apply to my other work in which line is signifcant and on which felted fbres are often collages.

Art Education (for all ages!)

Throughout my career my core focus has been art education – whether in formal settings, in museum settings, for lifelong learning or for arts based learning to enhance our ability to work effectively in organizations. I continue to teach and give workshops.

I now live and work in Port Medway Nova Scotia.
